Certified Translation

A certified translation is completed by a certified translator and accompanied by a declaration confirming that the translation is a true and accurate representation of the original document. Certified translations are often required for immigration, legal, academic, and administrative purposes when submitting documents to official authorities or institutions.

Notarized Translation

A notarized translation includes the certification provided by the translator as well as an additional authentication by a notary public. The notary verifies the identity of the translator and witnesses the signing of the certification, but does not verify the accuracy of the translation itself. Notarized translations are often requested by foreign authorities, government agencies, courts, and other institutions that require an extra level of document authentication.
